This is the actual room that James Dean stayed in while portraying Jett Rink in the movie GIANT. This was to be James Dean’s last starring role. Dean was killed in a car accident shortly after leaving Marfa and before the movie was released in 1955.
One of the smaller original historic rooms, still retaining the near-original floorplan as it did when Dean stayed here, this room has one queen-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress and an originally tiled European bath (shower only).
French doors have been added to this room, opening to a standing balcony on the north side of the hotel with a view toward the Presidio County Courthouse.

This smaller, second-floor room will not accommodate a roll-away bed. There is not an elevator on the property.
